It’s easy to get lost in all the press releases announcing the latest AI agents, agentic AI capabilities, and AI development tools. So, I went hunting and developed this list of AI agents and related capabilities from SaaS and security vendors with $500M+ in ARR (annual recurring revenue).

These are the largest tech and security vendors offering agentic AI capabilities for CIOs to review. I plan a follow-up article for AI agents from midsize and startup technology and security vendors, and a third one from technology service providers.
This list include agentic AI capabilities from Adobe, Anaplan, Appian, Apple, Atlassian, AWS (Amazon Web Services), Box, BMC, Canva, Cisco, Cloudflare, Conga, Coupa Software, CrowdStrike, CyberArk, Databricks, Datadog, Dayforce, DocuSign, Elastic, Figma, Fortinet, Google, HubSpot, Infor, Informatica, Microsoft, MongoDB, Netskope, Okta, OneTrust, Oracle, Outsystems, PagerDuty, Palo Alto Networks, Pega, Qualtrics, Rapid7, RingCentral, Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, ServiceTitan, Shopify, Snowflake, Tanium, Terradata, UiPath, Verint, Wiz, Workday, Zendesk, Zoom, and Zscaler.
AI Agents, agentic AI, platforms, marketplaces, or AI assistants?
It’s challenging to differentiate a vendor’s AI capabilities without getting into the weeds and seeing how they work. Some are AI agents that connect natural language inputs/outputs with workflow and analysis capabilities. Some may qualify as agentic AI, supporting agent-to-agent orchestration and providing guardrails to define which actions are autonomous and which require a human-in-the-middle. There are also AI agent development tools on this list.
But it’s hard to distinguish between the AI agents on this list and those that are only virtual assistants or AI-enabled chatbots. It’s also challenging to know if AI platforms have AI agentic capabilities and the full scope of AI marketplaces – there are a few on this list.
That said, I expect technology and security providers will focus on AI agents and agentic capabilities, and that some of this jargon will converge into defined categories and capabilities.
Beyond POCs and Pilots: Succeeding with AI Agents
Before we get to the guide on AI agents, let me share some perspectives. There’s a lot of AI experimentation, which is great for learning, but not good enough to drive continued enthusiasm from the board through employees. I have three recommendations for CIOs:

- Avoid bumbling into the AI productivity trap and the disastrous GenAI Roi ROI problem. To be a world-class IT department, define a vision statement around AI experiments, and look for agentic AI capabilities that easily plug into existing workflows. Expand from there by focusing on change leadership that drives adoption.
- Configure and partner before building AI agents. Develop a balanced AI governance strategy that empowers experimentation that’s aligned to strategy, objectives, and policies.
- Many organizations should seek to develop AI agents around proprietary and industry-specific workflows. Innovators will establish agentic AI customer experiences. But before giving DevOps teams the green light, define essential development principles and other non-functional requirements. Ensure teams know the architecture rules and ask about data governance and management.
